1) |
A nature camp \ trek programme is an experiential, outdoor, adventure activity undertaken by an individual on his\her own free will, which necessarily involves the corporal exposure to elements of the surrounding physical environment. The weather, the topography, the altitude, the season, temperature, humidity, air, atmospheric pressure, run-off water, rain, snow, wind, the solar - heat and rays, darkness, wild animals, insects, micro-organisms, vegetation, pollens etc. are some of the elements and factors that are intrinsic to any or all camping\trekking activity. The participant need to be aware of the prevailing conditions of the region.

The participants are expected to bring essential items like haversack\back pack, water bottles, extra clothes, rain jackets, rubber-soled boots, slippers, socks, and battery-powered torch. Items like sleeping bags (for overnight stay only), carry-mats, tents, Koflac boots, feather jackets, gloves, bacaclava, monkey caps etc for high altitude treks can be provided by us, wherever possible. Extra rental costs shall be applicable, as found necessary.

3) |
Personal items like plates, tea cups, spoons, etc are to be brought by participants, unless stated other wise. Participants are also expected to bring items like extra batteries, toilet paper, soap, goggle, caps, insect repellent and personal medications. Kindly carry toiletries and cosmetic items to the bare minimum requirement. Toilet rooms and public convenience enclosures may not be available in the country areas and in small towns and villages.

In the event of loss\theft\damage of personal items\belongings, expensive or otherwise, like camera, binoculars, handy cam, video recorders, credit cards, purse\ extra cash if brought, or any such belongings, and lost by whatsoever circumstances, Nature Bound Holidays & Tours (Nature Bound Tours) nor its associates, staff members and other persons like guides or managers etc, cannot be and will not be responsible nor liable for the same. Please take proper care and possession of your personal items, and the hired equipments, if any. For overnight camps bring padlocks and lock chains. Avoid heavy baggage.

5) |
All meals\snacks\food items, wherever arranged, shall be simple-cooked, nutritious vegetarian food, having adequate quantity of locally flavoured chappattis\rotis\bread, cooked rice, dal and a special bhaji (curry\dish) with sallad\fruits for deserts. For some one day trek programmes, food\meals may not be arranged (check programme details) - the participants have to bring\buy their own food items. Non-vegetarian meals or snacks although not encouraged, can be ordered if locally available. Campers\trekkers are expected to respect the sentiments of our vegetarian colleagues, if they express their dissent before hand. |

6) |
Nature Bound Tours shall make proper and adequate arrangements for safe travel and food. Our independent contractors \ agents \ hotels\ service providers are one of the best in the field and selected by Nature Bound Tours for the good quality of service they provide.

7) |
For those treks and camps that involves use of public utilities like airlines\ railways \state bus transport \ ferry services\ electricity \ water supply etc., we are dependent on the proper functioning of such services. Nature Bound Tours, like every other user, cannot guarantee the timely and proper functioning of the above stated and\or similar public services.

8) |
Nature Bound Tours guide\camp conductor shall carry a basic first-aid kit for treating any possible minor wound or skin injuries (only). While trekking\camping on a country side\rural areas, emergency services may not be easily and immediately available, due to inaccessible terrain and inadequate communication facilities. Instructions given by the guide\camp conductor shall be strictly followed by all participants. Discipline helps immensely.

A nature camp\ trek programme conducted by Nature Bound Tours, may also include other physical activities - rock climbing and river crossing, instructional and educational interactive sessions, fun and games. We, at our sole discretion, may ask for medical fitness certificate from an individual participant, or from the entire group for the purpose of registration. Notwithstanding the previous clause-sentence, it is assumed that a participant\client is fully physically fit for such activities, irrespective of the medical\fitness certificate the registered participant may produce or claim. The participant has the choice\right to refrain from any activities s\he feels uncomfortable with. Nature Bound Tours shall not be responsible for any unforeseen medical emergency like a cardiac arrest etc. while on tour or on transit.

10) |
Nature Bound Tours reserves the right, at any time, to reject or cancel any registration of participants before the commencement of the trek, and\or during the trek\camp, on grounds of medical disability, or on an opinion formed by the guide\camp-conductor\instructor that suggests the perceived inability of a participant to co-operate and complete the trek\tour, and thereby creating a possibilty of jeopardising the objective of the trek\tour programme.

11) |
Nature Bound Tours follows the principle of 'Safety First'. We research and study our destinations on a red note, plan our tour on a cautious amber tone, and finally execute our plans on a green signal only. However, Nature Bound Tours is not responsible or liable for any kind of physical injury or bodily harm, resulting or not resulting, in death of a participant\client, by whatsoever manner caused (accidents - due to any kind of human error, negligence, etc, mechanical or engineering malfunctions, and also due to natural and man-made disastors - also called as "the Act of God"). Neither, it is liable for any claim for compensation for medical expenses incurred, or for reimbursement of general expenses incurred, in the course of obtaining emergency medical care, and while treating an injured client for minor or major medical operations\consultancy or trauma care.

Payment Policy:
Registration and booking formalities should be ideally completed a month (30 days) in advance.

13) |
The tour\trek package cost or charges shall be paid to us, 100 percent in advance, to effect a confirmation of our contract\agreement. The payment should be made by Cash/Cheque/Demand draft/ Swift remittance/ wire transfer etc. in favour of 'Nature Bound Holidays & Tours' - payable at Mumbai.
For fixed-departure trek\tour programme, a non-refundable booking amount, i.e. 10 % of the package cost must be paid for registering\booking a seat for the trek\tour. Confirmation of your seat\berth in any tour package\programme will be made, only after receiving the full and complete payment.

14) |
Cancellation Policy |
| |
|
Registered or booking parties have to give prior notice, in writing, in case a cancellation becomes a necessity.
The cancellation charges are applicable on following conditions.

i) A cancellation after registration becomes effective only when so requested, in writing. The repayment, if any, shall be given in cheque after the completion of the respective tour. In all cases, a minimum 10 % (booking) amount shall be charged for administrative expenses and service fees.
ii) All the days, considered above (first column), are to be calculated as prior to the departure of the tour (i.e excluding the day of departure). Days means only the limited hours when our booking office is open, i.e 9 30 am to 8.00 pm Indian Standard Time.
iii) Cancellation charge for trek programmes (second column above) is only applicable when no advance booking is required. In case, a reservation and booking of any kind is required for\during a trek programme, and where full advance payments are required to be paid to the service providers like for accomodation etc, the Cancellation Charge for Holidays and Tour category, (Third column, above), will be applicable.

15) |
Nature Bound Tours reserves the right to terminate, amend, alter, change, re-schedule or in some circumstances withdraw or cancel, partly or fully, any camp\trek programme, excursions, or service facility it has advertised or published or have registered or have contracted, without assigning any reasons. It can, by its own discretion and right, cancel or in certain cases substitute the service of an independent contractor and replace them, if it is deemed advisable or necessary by us. In either case, Nature Bound Tours shall not be liable for any damage, additional expense or loss suffered by the participant - monetary or emotional in nature, or any kind of claim for compensation, whatsoever.

In the event of a cancellation of a tour\trek\holiday trip on our part, due to certain unfortunate and\or extra-ordinary circumstances (like natural calamity or disastor), Nature Bound Tours will repay the fully paid-up amount. However, in certain cases, wherever expenses are incurred while arranging or during pre-arrangement of the respective tour\trek, we will pay back only the balance amount, so calculated, after deducting a nominal amount as administrative charges, and other related expenses. Alternatively, at its own sole discretion - depending on each individual case, and notwithstanding a request by its client, Nature Bound Tours may or may not, adjust the balance amount, so calculated after deducting administrative charges and other expenses, and against any amount recovered from its contractors, for some of its future programmes, being thereafter offered.

Any complaints or grievance shall be informed to the firm, in writing, not later than thirty days after completion of trek\tour programme. Any disagreement arising thereoff are to be settled mutually as far as possible. In case of a dispute, the courts of law, to be moved, shall only be under the competent jurisdiction of the district courts of Mumbai.

Participants are expected to bring along a lot of enthusiasm with a sense of camaraderie and a spirit of enjoyment. Guests are not expected to bring plastic covers, metal containers (unless necessary) and loud musical instruments. (What is eco-tourism?)
